To celebrate the general UK release of A Liar’s Autobiography, Trinity organized a special screening to showcase homegrown talent and to offer advice and insight to up-and-coming animators.
The event took place in the heart of London’s creative district at Rich Mix, and we are proud to have hosted many of the studios involved in creating A Liar’s Autobiography, allowing them to share their expertise with students from across London.

Special thanks to animation producer Justin Weyers and to all the students who attended – we hope we helped to inspire the next generation of UK animation talent!

24th January saw the opening night of the LOCO London Comedy Film Festival and a star-studded preview screening of A Liar’s Autobiography. Guests including Rebecca Front, Tony Law and Simon Pegg watched Graham Chapman’s (not completely true) life story in 3D animation and enjoyed an exclusive look at the green room exhibition which featured works from the animators and memorabilia from Graham’s Monty Python days.

You can watch Terry Jones introduce the film and get reactions from some of the UK’s biggest comedy talent here.
Rebecca Front, Tony Law and leading Channel 4 comedy producer Ben Farrell also chaired a panel discussion on the legacy of Monty Python, considering the lasting appeal of the comedy legends.
Watch them discuss their first memories of the group and taking questions from the audience on Vimeo now.

'Filthy, hilarious and heart-warming' - Simon Pegg
"Animation fans and Monty Python enthusiasts, it may feel like all of your birthdays and Christmases have come at once with 3D animated feature A Liar’s Autobiography" DON'T PANIC
A LIAR'S AUTOBIOGRAPHY is the opening night film of the very popular LOCO London Comedy Film Festival on the 24th January at the BFI Southbank.
LOCO is a not - for-profit foundation that champions the craft of comedy film-making and TRINITY and the directors of A LIAR'S AUTOBIOGRAPHY couldn't be more proud to celebarate the comedy genius of Graham Chapman and the Monty Pythons with contemprary comedy auduences.
Introduced by Terry Jones, Bill Jones, Jeff Simpson and Ben Timlett, the screening will be followed by what we can only guarantee will be a laugh-out-loud and probably very silly discussion of Monty Python's influence on today's leading comedy film-makers, asking: "What have the Pythons ever given us?" The evening will be hosted by Chris Hewitt, and attended by special contemporary comedy film and televison stars, Rebecca Front, Tony Law and Ben Farrell.

Whereas, theaters premiering the film in New York have had to postpone the premiere untll the follwing week as they have been flooded by the storm.
However, the perseverance and excitement of some New Yorkers was displayed and much appreciated when at least 100 turned up for the special screening of the film at the world renowned MOMA (Museum of Modern Art) on the 31st October.
THE COMEDIAN is directed by an exciting new voice in British cinema. Made by first feature filmmaker, TOM SHKOLNIK, the film was a contender in the First Feature Competition (the Sutherland Award) and nominated for Best British Newcomer.
Already established as a sucessful and very talented short-film filmmaker, Trinity is delighted that they were able to help realise Tom's dream and executive produce his first feature film.

Using improvised dialogue and shot on the streets of London, Shkolink was able to make a film that was stripped down to its bear essentials. "I hoped that by doing this we would be able to capture some kind of raw and truthful portrait", says Shkolnik.

THE COMEDIAN is about Ed (Edward Hogg) who is at a crossroads in his life. In his early thirties, his unrewarding job in a call centre is getting more and more frustrating, while his career as a stand-up is not taking off in the way he hoped it would; in fact, he’s starting to acknowledge he might not be a very good comedian. Ed’s feelings are conflicted when he realises that he is drawn to someone else.
"The Comedian is funny, touching and true, presenting characters who are recognisable and real, while depicting London with reflective honesty". (Michael Hayden).

THE COMEDIAN is due to be released in 2013.

Monty Pythons,TERRY JONES and MICHAEL PALIN were on top form, jovial and expectedly quite silly, at the Cult Gala premiere of A LIAR'S AUTOBIOGRAPHY last night, the 3D animation feature based on the memoirs of Graham Chapman.

Held at the iconic Empire Leicester Square, the red carpet was laid and the Hunks were at the ready to escort female Python, Carole Cleveland.

Showcasing the talents of 14 animation studios, and five Pythons (including the dead one), 'A Liar's Autobiography' is a fabricated, animated biopic based on the unreliable memoirs of the late Graham Chapman (in case you didn't already know).
Graham Chapman was gazing on us with miliary-like attention.

And if that wasn't enough, Graham look-alikes were conjuring up the spirit and energy of his past lives (characters).

The 1300 seater cinema was filled almost to the brim with 3D glasses laughing and cheering away, especially when an impromptu group, the Gay Men’s chorus suddenly stood up to sing the contagious “Sit On My Face”.

The evening came to a close with an animated after party for VIP guests joined by the likes of comedians and actors including Sanjeev Bashkar, Barry Cryer (who also appears in the film), Tom Hollander, Chris Morris and others.

After over two decades Monty Python has begun production on a reunion project, which has been co-financed, and will be distributed, by Trinity Film. Their final foray will be an animated 3D adaptation of Graham Chapman’s A LIAR’S AUTOBIOGRAPHY. Originally published in 1980, the book details Chapman’s journey from medical school to his work in comedy to grabbling with his sexual identity.
Using the voice recordings Chapman completed before his death, he lives on in the film as his dialogue is matched up with new recordings laid down by the likes of Terry Gilliam (above). Starring old hats, such as John Cleese and Michael Pallin, each Python takes on numerous roles, in typically hilarious fashion, to make up the montage of scenes.

Over 15 different animation companies are working on the new movie, each completing scenes of varying lengths, promising to bring together an eclectic range of styles. Producer Jeff Simpson has commented: “Creatively, the different styles reflect the stages in Graham’s life. Also, it saves us a lot of time!”
"I am delighted to find myself working with [Chapman] again on this exciting project" says Terry Jones, though added, in what seems fitting with the Python's reputation, "I had no idea until recently that Graham Chapman is in fact dead—I thought he was just being lazy!"

The film is due to be completed and ready for release by Spring next year and by all accounts it shouldn’t fail to live up to the legacy they left behind.
SIGN UP to be kept informed of the production's latest developments.

Trinity X is thrilled to be launching its activities by working with exciting British director Simon Rumley on the UK release of his latest film RED WHITE & BLUE.
Voted as one of the best films of 2010 in many of the leading horror and genre publications and polls, RED WHITE & BLUE is described by Simon Rumley as “not so much a horror film as a terror film”.
It’s a raw, relentless and harrowing revenge chiller starring Amanda Fuller (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Noah Taylor (Submarine, The Proposition, Almost Famous, Vanilla Sky). The film follows Erica, a tough troubled nymphomaniac as she sleeps with a series of nameless men in a backwater Texan town and Nate, a veteran of the Gulf War who befriends her. Erica’s actions lead to a horrifying and shocking climax which has stunned audiences worldwide. Hard-edged and uncompromising, the film has been compared to the works of disparate filmmakers such as Larry Clark, Sam Peckinpah, Wes Craven and Alfred Hitchcock.
